Historic 3 Gun (H3G) Shooting Matches at Sandoval Sporting Range

Step back in time with Historic 3 Gun (H3G), a unique 3-gun match that celebrates vintage technology! Join us at Sandoval Sporting Range most 3rd & 4th Saturdays at 10 AM for a steel-shooting experience unlike any other—all for just $15.

While we relax requirements for firearms, ammo, holsters, magazines, and attire to encourage new participants, strict safety rules remain in full effect. If you don’t have a suitable rifle, you’re welcome to bring extra pistol ammo to take on rifle targets.

Shooters will engage plenty of steel targets using firearms loaded with lead, plated, or jacketed bullets. Eye and ear protection are required, and no range membership is necessary to participate.

Sandoval Sporting Range is a private 20-acre facility in south-central Illinois with handgun and rifle ranges up to 275 yards. In order to use the range, you must either be a member OR be a participant at any of the numerous open competitions and friendly matches that are hosted throughout the year by the club.

Directions:
Sandoval Sporting Range is located at 863 Range Road in Sandoval, Illinois. It is 2 miles northeast of Sandoval, Illinois, or 8 miles west of Salem at Exit 116 off of I-57 and just north of Highway 50 and east of Highway 51.

From Sandoval: North 1 mile to Range Road, then East 0.6 mile.
